Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic stimulation (rTMS) is an FDA-approved therapy fortreatment resistant depression (TRD) that involves brief magnetic stimulation pulses onthe dorsolateral prefrontal cortex (DLPFC) brain region. Additionally, rTMS has not been shown to improve cognitivefunctioning that may be an independent factor predicting treatment success. This studywill develop a novel multimodal treatment, which combines intermittent theta burststimulation (iTBS) – a type of rTMS with digital mindfulness training to engage brainplasticity, enhance cognition and alleviate depression symptoms in individuals with TRD. Connecting with others who experience similar issues can provide comfort and reduce feelings of loneliness. The resources available can empower individuals to take charge of their mental health.<\/p>\n
